Lee’s Summit businessman accused of scamming investors
An experienced conman has again been indicted by a federal grand jury, this time for allegedly running a Ponzi scheme while he was on probation for his earlier scam. Ronald W. Shepard, 72, of Lee’s Summit, was charged Tuesday with taking about $3.2 million from almost 40 investors between January 2006 and December 2009.
