Some New Subdivisions Are Very Lonely Places (The Lakeland Ledger)
Most lots here, including those next to and across from Vandre's property in Lake County, sit vacant and overgrown with weeds. There's little prospect of new homes being built nearby anytime soon. Even so, Vandre remains hopeful.

Pittman Elementary School will host its annual Harvest Festival at 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 7. The Littleton Senior Citizens will sell chicken and fish dinners on Friday, Nov. 7, at The Littleton Community Center, 238 Oak St., Littleton. Dinners will be ready by 11 a.m., eat in or take out.
