| Nearly 290 fewer home building permits were issued in Bibb County last year compared to five years ago. The value of those permits in 2007 was $50.3 million, compared to $11.8 million in 2011. It’s pretty much the same story in Houston County, where the number of building permits for new homes last year, at 130 permits, is less than half of what it was five years ago. |
