| No tax hike in schools’ 2012-13 draft budget |

| Lackey: Board has dropped plan for new central office |
| The Madison County School Board has abandoned any plans it may have entertained for a new central office building. But, it is still looking at purchasing property for a new elementary school in northern Madison County. School board member John Lackey disclosed that information Thursday during the board’s monthly meeting as he responded to a comment from an audience member. |
