CLARION - Clarion Fire and Hose Co. No. 1, like all volunteer fire departments in Clarion County , is facing a budget crunch and asked Clarion Borough Council Nov. 4 to release to the department the revenue raised by a dedicated real estate millage levied by the borough.
STRATTANVILLE -Strattanville Borough Council is considering a 2009 budget which would hold its real estate tax level at nine mills. Each mill of taxes would raise $3,474 for the borough. A mill of tax is equal to $1 on each $1,000 of assessed value.
