For more than a century, the large area of Hamilton County which goes by the name of East Brainerd (as opposed to the smaller area formerly called Concord) went by the name of Chickamauga.
Many who have wanted to be a candidate for elected office in Hamilton County have driven north past the Soddy-Daisy city limits sign and parked in a gravel lot outside Dixie Souvenirs.
