Food banks see increase in demand as economy slows (Peninsula Gateway)

Sheila Williams, left, and her 4-year-old granddaughter Jasmine Freeland have been visiting the Gig Harbor Peninsula FISH Food Bank for the past three weeks, since their Olalla home burned down. The food bank saw its highest demand ever in the past month.
